Haha! Go Prucha!!

Dumb shit also dropped Petr Prucha. Why drop a guy when he's just in the middle of his scoring jag? Why? because you're a goddam, pre-puber moron, that's why.
I was able to get him (as I did Meszaros) and ol' Petery gets me a goal.

How nice.

What's even nicer is that I've been 5th while Captain Braggodocia is almost at the bottom.

Tonight is the night!

We shall see who the suckiest team really is!

Isles vs. 'Hawks at 8:30pm.

Yay, Meszaros!

Hahahahahahahahaahaha!!!

Stupid fuck dropped Mesz so I picked him up and, guess what? Dude gets a goal! Bwahahahahaha! A small matter maybe and, with the exception of a few offensive defensemen, you got pick a D for goals but, why on earth would you drop someone like that? Moron.

In another league, super-sniper Jody Shelley got me a goal. Not enough to do jack for my standings but it was a nice treat since I put him in only for PIMs.

We are the Losers.

(My apologies to Freddy Mercury and Queen.)

(To the tune of We Are The Champions)

"We are the Losers, my friend...
And we won't start winning 'till the end...

We've had some layoffs but
We'll miss the Playoffs...

Why bother winning when we'll miss the Playoffs...

In the end?"

Hearty drubbing by the Canucks. Granted, they are the Canucks but fellow fans have had us pegged to win. I'd really like to know what they're smoking. I wonder if there were some good fights at the end?

Kevin Colley took on some guy named Bieksa. He gave Colley the pounding of a lifetime. But at least Colls stood up to him. Bieksa is listed on NHLPA as 6'1", 180 but Howie and Flats were saying he's 6'4" and 230. I don't know if they were trying to build him up, if NHLPA is wrong or what. But in either case, Bieksa was much (and The Rock means much) bigger than Colley- listed at 5'10", 175.

So kudos to Colley for standing up for his team and for himself and taking a pounding like a real man. Just like they do in jail, goddammit!

Hmmm... just checked the box score, We actually snuck in a goal to end the game as losers, 7-1. Checked the penalties. No fighting majors. Ah well. Maybe next time.

BTW- We May Finally be Free.

Stirling shit-canned and Mad Mike to step down! :D

The catch is that Mike will remain GM until they find a replacement which, Wang says can be as quickly as 2 weeks but could take as long as June. By then our players will be tanned and have had their golf games fined tuned.

Still, tonight the Isles win one against Calgary under interim coach Brad Shaw- who sounds like he should be more of a cowboy than a coach but whatever.

Erskine (the guy we got in exchange for that useless sack of feces known as Janne Niinimaa) got into a good scrap with Simon who fell thus unfortunately cutting the fight short.

Howie and Joe say that Erskine is a Cairns-type player. He may be known for fisticuffs but at least he's not a defensive liability like Cairnsy was. Or Niinimaa for that matter.

Being the eternal pessimist and hoping to counter Murphy's Law, I picked the Flames to win. They lost to the Rangers last night and usually come up big (or so I hear) and I personally thought that our team was gonna be too unstable and freaked out what with the recent overhaul and all. But the flip-side proved to be the case.

The Isles played well and got Coach Shaw his first win.

I am happy but still guarded. I hope I am wrong but have braced myself for the fact that we may be on the outside watching the Rangers go into the Playoffs.

We'll see.

Lookit this stupid HUMP!

I swear. The kid must be 14. He simply doesn't understand how much this fucks up the dynamic of a fantasy board. And yes, this is the same A-Hole that said that he would be in the TOP 4 at Christmas time.

Know where he is?

11th out of 12.

His famous quote was to STFU.

He also said that he would reach the top 4 via his 2 awesome goaltenders. One of which is LaBarbera. Who I happen to have on my roster because Captain Brainiac dropped him shortly after making his guarantee.

Lookit what he dropped. Just LOOK at it! Prucha coming on strong of late and Mezaros with his kick-ass +/-.

Dumb-ass.

The rest of his team aren't really superstars but this wholesale roster change is retarded. Like his league. Remind me to never, and The Rock means never join up with morons next year.

There Is Always Bad News After Good News

Headline from today's Chicago Sun-Times. Hawks snap out of it vs. Caps

Blackhawks 4, Capitals 3

Here is the sub-headline. Blow 3 goal lead but halt 10 game losing streak in OT.

I actuall watched this crap fest and can only say one good thing. Ovechkin = Good!
Too bad he's not on my team.

Return of the Mac.

Oh yes it is.

Alfie back in action gets me 2 assists and 2 goals. Nice.

I also loaded my roster with Ottowa forwards. Nothing like betting on a sure thing. Goals by Neil and Fischer. Double nice. With any luck, I'll be out of the basement in a couple of weeks. Shoulda done this long ago.

In other news, the isles lose... again.

1 win in the last 12 games. Stirling is going to positively swallow his face the way he chews his top lip. At least Niinimaa is gone.

Gone to Dallas. And they lost last night, I think. Watch them plummet in the standings. Niinimaa is cursed.

On the bright side...

Alfredsson might be back in the lineup against Phoenix tonight.

Please, sweet Jesus, let him play. I'm also under in LW so I picked up a bunch of Senator L-Wingers hoping they'll get hot.

overall, I'm still frustrated with my point production. My team just ain't gellin'. Should I trade Thornton and Zubov for Jokinen and Zetterberg?

How about...

The New York Islanders? Nope. We still suck. maybe we're not in a double digit losing streak but when you have Alexie Cashin and the power of Satan, you should be piling up victories (and stolen souls) left and right. But we're not.

We've lost 8 of the past 11. Unfortunately, we had a win 2 games ago so we can't get a streak together. Hmmm... we're so pathetic we can't even get a LOSING streak going!

I'll always be an Isles fan but I think I'm gonna start rooting for the Sens too. There's only so much pathetic shame and disgust a soul can take.

We Suck - Even If You Wanted To, You Can't Say Nothing - Absolute Final Say

The Blackhawks losing streak has now reached double digits. Yes. 10 in a row. I am on the lookout for a new team to root for. Anyone have any ideas?

WE SUCK - Final Say

The Blackhawks now have an ongoing 8 game losing streak. Eight. E-I-G-H-T. (ate) The cardinal number between 7 and 9.

Are you ready to concede now?
