BTW- We May Finally be Free.
Stirling shit-canned and Mad Mike to step down! :D
The catch is that Mike will remain GM until they find a replacement which, Wang says can be as quickly as 2 weeks but could take as long as June. By then our players will be tanned and have had their golf games fined tuned.
Still, tonight the Isles win one against Calgary under interim coach Brad Shaw- who sounds like he should be more of a cowboy than a coach but whatever.
Erskine (the guy we got in exchange for that useless sack of feces known as Janne Niinimaa) got into a good scrap with Simon who fell thus unfortunately cutting the fight short.
Howie and Joe say that Erskine is a Cairns-type player. He may be known for fisticuffs but at least he's not a defensive liability like Cairnsy was. Or Niinimaa for that matter.
Being the eternal pessimist and hoping to counter Murphy's Law, I picked the Flames to win. They lost to the Rangers last night and usually come up big (or so I hear) and I personally thought that our team was gonna be too unstable and freaked out what with the recent overhaul and all. But the flip-side proved to be the case.
The Isles played well and got Coach Shaw his first win.
I am happy but still guarded. I hope I am wrong but have braced myself for the fact that we may be on the outside watching the Rangers go into the Playoffs.
We'll see.
